Terra Nova is a very special villa found in the private
Mammee Bay Estate in Ocho Rios.
The spacious living area with marble tile floors has louvred
doors which open wide onto a covered patio to capture
all the sea breezes.
Two air conditioned bedrooms with bathrooms are located
to the right of the living and dining room. Each of these bedrooms has it's own private access to the outdoor verandah. They both have ceiling fans and large windows to help circulate the wonderful sea breeze. One of the bedrooms has wonderful views of the lawn, pool and ocean beyond.
The other two
bedrooms are found in a semi-detached two story. These are accessed from the living room, right through the outdoor verndah. The downstairs bedroom has wonderful views and the upstairs bedroom has it's own private verandah with the same wonderful views.
A lush lawn and fresh water swimming pool are immediately
in front with honey comb rocks and the blue Caribbean
sea beyond. On clear days, (which they mostly are),
you can see the cruise ships in harbour in Ocho
Rios.
The villa is oceanfront; but the
ocean is not swimmable at the villa due to large
rocks.
It is only a 5 minute walk down Beach Road to
Mammee Bay Club.
Mammee Bay Beach Club is a private beach facility
for the residents of Mammee Bay Villas. The beach is wonderful white sand and great for swimming or snorkeling. The beach has a bar, lounge chairs, umbrellas, water sports, volleyball and other activities available.
The villa is also just a couple minute drive from both the RIU and Sandals Dunn's River Falls hotels. Day passes can be purchased directly at the hotels to enjoy their beach, pools and other activities.
For larger groups willing to stay in neighboring villas, there is Kima, a 3 bedroom villa, that is located directly next door with easy access through the lawns. There is also Cirrhosis on the Sea, a 4 bedroom villa, that is 2 houses down on the other side of Terra Nova, but it's an easy walk (about 75 feet) down the beach. |
